There used to be no commonly agreed standard when it comes to bodywork repairs as it is based on user's opinion. Therefore Audatex provides the Intelligent Repair Estimator (IRE) for bodywork repairs. IRE automatically calculates the paint work and paint material needed for repairs. The standard formula is determined by the Automotive Insurance Research Institutes around the globe and the calculation is derived from factors influencing repair time such as the part's damage areas, damage severity.

All you have to do is to draw a circle on the part diagram to highlight the damaged area, select the damage severity, and the estimate for repair is generated.
